Outdoor Academy
Welcome to the PPC Outdoor Academy!
The PPC Outdoor Academy is a virtual program designed to allow Scouts to work on merit badges from home. Scouts are able to register for various badges where they will have direct access to a merit badge instructor. Our instructors are highly qualified adults with specialized and extensive training in BSA policies and with camp staff experience. Sessions include predetermined days and times as well as sessions scheduled at mutually convenient times in small groups. Scouts that attend the Academy will have the opportunity to attend a follow up day at Camp Somers to work on additional requirements that were not or could not be completed online. While we recognize no online experience can replicate or replace actually being at camp, we are excited to be able to help Scouts along their advancement journey.
